In Architecture School, there should have a freedom in exploration unexplored ideas.  Unfortunately, UCSI produces top quality students, but projects were clearly were already been there and done that. Ideas that are not being explore and the lecturer's in studios do not know how to entertain the idea. Coming from a diploma course, we were allowed to explore ideas that are crazy and out of the box. But in Degree, we were force to be mould into something else rather than enhancing our own style in architecture. EKAR Architect - PAM TALK

A Thailand architect, Ekaphap Duangkaew , was involved in various type of projects at a tender age of 30. He highlighted his most favoured projects during the talk at Black Box, Publika. He focuses on the uses of spaces that provides function and making sure and putting in mind that a space should be habitable. He made sure Thailand's traditional architecture be coherent with contemporary architecture. When designing space, he made sure it goes together with the lifestyle of the clients and creating a sense of space. What in the video do you most relate to? * The most relatable in the video is the studio system. It is most relatable because studio work is where most things happen, the idea, the concept, the  intent to design, and friendship * The frustration when the idea was not properly received. 

Phenomenology of Place

Based on the article by Christian Norburg-Shulz, “Phenomenology of place” described  as how natural and constructed environments, works together as a set of complex and “concrete phenomena”, which affect human perceptions, experiences, and emotions. “Concrete phenomena”, describe as what content of existing selected site “given” to us, can be human, nature environment and etc.  Preferably, “place” is actually more than just an abstract location of site or it’s immediate context. Context is a aspect that designer need to considerate and reapect because its have its own original value like historical, natural or economical and social. Of course, c ontext is external elements that influence an object. These elements are physical and non-physical.
